ESL continues to work as an independent agency within the KLG group.Job DescriptionAs Area Manager you will play a crucial role in managing and developing Sales & Customer Care activities within your designated geographical region (the Netherlands, Sweden and selected worldwide countries). In this role, you will report to the Head of Sales & Customer Care.SalesYour primary responsibility is to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. This role requires a deep understanding of the Travel and Language Education industries, including trends, customer preferences, and market dynamics. On top, your responsibility is to drive efficient post-booking operations, making sure that clients are followed successfully before, during and after the language travel.Your key responsibilities include overseeing a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure they meet their individual and collective sales goals. You are responsible for creating and implementing sales strategies and action plans to expand the customer base and increase market share. This involves identifying potential business opportunities, conducting market research, and analysing competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.To achieve these goals, your role is also to work closely with the Marketing team to run both online and offline activities for promoting our brand and generate more leads locally.Additionally, you are required to monitor in detail individual and global sales performances, generate reports, and present findings to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for further improvement.Customer CareIn collaboration with the Global Customer Care Manager of ESL, your responsibility is to supervise the correct execution of all the post-booking activities, which are carried out by the same sales representatives.These activities include different administrative tasks such as processing enrolments with customers and partner schools, managing invoices and payments, assisting and supporting customers before, during and after the language travel, managing possible complaints.QualificationsEducation and experience
  • Degree in tourism, hospitality, business or any other sales relevant subject or academic thinking level acquired through work experience.
  • Strong leadership, education and travel industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills to succeed in a highly competitive market.
  • Proven ability and experience to manage and develop Sales and Customer Care teams in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Strategic and analytical mind able to track results.
  • People developer: good eye for talent and proven ability to motivate staff.
Language skills
  • English proficient
  • Dutch and/or Swedish proficient knowledge are considered a strong plus.
Other
  • The preferred candidate needs to have a proven passion for languages and travel as part of professional or personal life.
  • It's required flexibility to travel to the managed countries and to key ESL offices in Montreux and Milano, from time to time.
