The position will be based in Polanco, Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.What you will doAs a General Accounting Intern, you will:
- Support the execution of the physical inventory of fixed assets at the various business locations comparing accounting records
- Place identification plates or labels on assets
- Payment complements reconciliation of the accounts payable module in accordance with KPIs
- Bank Reconciliations
- Preparation of rental invoices for Mexicali Plant
- Netting Fees
- Issuance of invoices
- Develop cash flow models to improve forecast accuracy.
- Support daily treasury operations.
- Assist the team with data collection, analysis, reporting, reconciliations.
- Collaborate on transactions and reports on time.
- Collaborate with regional treasury teams for USA&Canada, Mexico and Central America & Caribbean.
- Work with the business controllers, providing aid with financial analysis and preparation of reports.
- Help prepare day-to-day reports.
- Participate in the month end activities and forecast.
- Projects collaboration regarding improvements and automatization of processes.
- Bank reconciliation payments follow up
- Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) reduction for healthy cash flow
- Transactional customers support
- Internal KPI reports.
- Focus on process efficiency and data accuracy.
- Regularly interaction with internal stakeholders and external customers, requiring clear communication and proactive follow-up.
- Collaboration on tax compliance through the use of specialized tax software and spreadsheets.
- Collaboration in responding to inquiries from tax authorities and compiling documentation for audits.
- Preparation of tax documents for the value added tax (VAT) refund process.
- Organization and maintenance of digital records for 100% of assigned tax documents.
- Invoice cancellation process.
- Keeping up to date with frequent changes in tax legislation and understanding how they apply to the company's operations
- Bachelor Studies in progress: Accounting, Finance, Administration or a related field.
- Graduation expected in: July 2026 or afterwards.
- Availability to work and commute to our site 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 2 pm, during the full internship program.
