IE University's Accreditations & Rankings department is looking for an Rankings Officer to join its team!We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rankings Officer to join our Quality, Accreditations & Rankings team. This role plays a key part in shaping how our institution is represented in major international rankings. The Rankings Officer plays a critical role in supporting the university and business school’s strategic positioning through the effective management, analysis, and communication of data related to global and regional rankings. This role ensures that the institution maximizes its performance and visibility in key rankings systems (e.g., FT, QS, Bloomberg) and provides insight to support academic excellence, continuous improvement, and external reputation.The Rankings Officer’s responsibilities are structured around four key areas: Rankings Strategy & Analysis, Data Management & Reporting, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategic Advice & Improvement.Why IE University?With 50 years of experience and founded by and for entrepreneurs, IE University has turned business education on its head through disruptive teaching. We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - IE Tower.Responsibilities:Your role as a Rankings Officer will involve:
  • Lead the full cycle of data collection, preparation, validation, and submission for international business school and university rankings
  • Maintain deep knowledge of the methodologies, definitions, and criteria of all major rankings; interpret and translate them into tailored, relevant reporting strategies aligned with our institutional context
  • Act as the internal owner and expert of rankings frameworks, proactively identifying opportunities to improve our performance and visibility
  • Collaborate closely with academic and administrative units to collect data inputs; develop a strong understanding of how institutional realities perform in rankings’ criteria
  • Analyze rankings outcomes, industry developments, and peer performance; conduct benchmarks to identify competitive insights and areas for growth
  • Translate analysis into strategic recommendations and shareable insights to support continuous improvement and internal decision-making
  • Work with the department’s analyst to organize and systematize historical results, currently stored in spreadsheets, into accessible databases to be used across the institution

  • Expertise in Excel, data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI), and survey tools.
