Job Category: Technical Product DevelopmentJob Description:We are seeking a results-oriented, highly experienced and skilled software engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team adding new functionality to our successful insurance risk placing platform. You will possess many years of experience in designing, developing and maintaining high-performance, complex applications. Adept at leading the technical design of new features, you will write clean and efficient code, leveraging modern technologies to deliver scalable software solutions. Expertise in a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and development methodologies. Passionate about mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with stakeholders to drive innovation.#LI-SD2 #LI-HybridResponsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and reliable software applications.
  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, engineers and other stakeholders to lead the definition and delivery of high-quality features.
  • Lead and contribute to architecture and system design decisions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, secure and efficient code while following best practices and coding standards.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers and junior engineers.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software systems.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in both technical and process aspects.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, bringing new ideas to the team.
  • Ensure software is designed with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, helping them grow their skills.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, and practices.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Several years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript and preferably Swift.
  • Strong experience with software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Strong experience working with Angular Framework.
  • Strong experience working with NoSQL database platforms, preferably Couchbase (although other NoSQL platform experience considered).
  • Experience working with shell scripting and process automation
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of software testing and debugging techniques.
  • Experience with performance optimization, security best practices, and scalable system design is a plus.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to mentor junior engineers.
