Job Description Summary Location: Barcelona, Spain; Prague, Czech Republic; #LI-Hybrid (12 days/month in office)Internal job title: Director – DDIT IES Solution DeliveryAbout the Role:The Director Infrastructure Solution Delivery will be part of our Infrastructure End Servcies team and will play a crucial role in defining and executing infrastructure technology delivery strategy for business systems platforms and processes for responsible business domain/function(s), and maintaining a portfolio view of the technology platforms and services to implement projects as per strategic roadmaps and manage life cycle events with least disruption. This position will partner with Business Stakeholders and DDIT Strategic Business Partners for infrastructure demand analysis and design fit for purpose infra. solutions that are secure, compliant and meet all non-functional requirements; it will also partner with DDIT Strategic Business Partners for demand analysis solution proposal/evaluation and funding estimates for applications/projects. Collaboration with relevant Technology Service/Solutions Delivery teams will be essential to ensure that the product and platform strategy balances the sophisticated needs of Key Markets need for reuse across other priority markets and cost effectively scale at speed to remaining midsize/small markets.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Ensure on time within budget compliant secure and quality delivery of portfolio for responsible Business domain/functions.Act as single point of contact for business IT Functions in the area of infrastructure solution design delivery for hosting and cloud technologiesEnsure services solutions platforms products are fit for purpose and achieve the desired business value and impact.Establish governance structure for projects operations etc. with right stakeholder representation for responsible Domain/functions.Track report and deliver against agreed success factors and SLAs/ KPIs for various stakeholders for responsible Domain/functions.Follow industry trends and emerging practices to drive agility speed efficiency and effectiveness.Ensure the overall user experience is taken into account when designing deploying new solutions services and steady state operations.Take accountability to ensure adherence to Security and Compliance policies and procedures within the Service Delivery/Operations scope.Lead transformation initiatives using the latest technology stackDelivery on agreed SLAs / KPIs including business impactLaunch of innovative technology solutions across Novartis at scaleEssential Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or comparable experience14+ years of solid experience working in IT Infrastructure domain; delivering infrastructure and platform services across geographic and business boundariesDeep knowledge and experience in several of the infrastructure building blocks – Networking, servers, storage, virtualization, middleware, databases and moreMinimum 8 years’ experience in leading infra hosting solution design on multi-cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for large enterprise business applicationsProviding high level expertise, technical support and consultation to the IT Functions on infrastructure solution designIntegration of architecture standards at the earliest stage, and throughout the application development processMaintain an solution viewpoint which goes beyond individual applications (i.e. application architecture) as well as beyond individual technology domains (i.e. domain architecture)Excellent skills in collaborating with business users, Product team, Operationalizing the delivered products, working closely with Security for implementing complianceGood understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts for infrastructureAbility to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.Excellent communication skills in Engloihs, both written and spoken; good technical and people leadership, with strong senior stakehjodler management skills and solid strategy development experienceCommitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.Why Novartis?
