Global Payroll LeadReports to: Vice President, Global HR OperationsLocation: Asturias, Spain (Hybrid office presence), Great Britain (remote)Direct Reports: teams based in NORAM, CAN, LATAM, EMEA & APACGlobal Payroll is an essential function and we are seeking an experienced, hands on, solutions and technology orientated senior lead / senior manager who will lead and deliver on time and in full payroll operations for employees, who has global experience in Payroll and is a subject matter expert, while working in collaboration with HR operations to deliver a consistent and exceptional employee experience. This role will have global responsibility and will support local teams and manage the vendor relationship across payroll cycles in monthly and biweekly cycles, while also ensuring compliance across critical controls and payroll management for pre, processing and post cycle requirements and reporting.Job ResponsibilitiesLead regional based payroll operations and partner with regional payroll leaders and their teams to deliver on time and in full payroll operations for 48 countries globally.Own Payroll operations for NORAM, CAN, LATAM, EMEA & APAC – drive process improvements with a clear focus and experience in adaptation of AI technologies to reduce manual inputs to enable 99%+ data governance inputs to enable processes that ensure employees are paid on time and in full, delivering all critical controls, managing payroll partner relationships and working closely with other HR SME’s who input to payroll operations.Ensure all system integrations are delivered in entirety for global payroll operations.Manage global Payroll budget and any change request costs.Deliver payroll data dashboards by country and roll up to regional and global dashboards by cycle.Serve as Subject Matter Expert providing guidance and direction to employees, HR Business Partners etc. on a wide variety of Payroll processes, policies and tools.Initiate and proactively monitor business processes in Workday to ensure conformance with policy and data integrity. Follow SLAs, escalate as appropriate, and ensure that business processes are closed in a timely manner.Take ownership of inquiries ensuring accurate, prompt and consistent resolution. Escalate or transition requests as needed to proper channels, ensure ‘warm’ handoff and exceptional employee experience.Collaborate and partner with internal stakeholders to proactively identify, recommend, and implement continuous process improvements that will enhance our operations and employee experience.Maintain a high level of data integrity by conducting system wide audits, perform root cause analysis, and proactively addresses data discrepancies.Ensure legal compliance by managing and implementing applicable policy and process revisions, supporting HR employment audits, and completing any required government reporting.Lead a talented team of professionals and grow their capabilities and plan for growth and development / succession management.Qualifications & Key Experience5+ years’ experience in global payroll operations, ideally with experience in process improvement, compliance (state/federal/country employment laws), employee lifecycle payroll process compliance.Workday experience essential.Experience of SAP/Kronos/Workday and ADP payroll systems is essential.Strong customer service orientation is required.Global team leadership is important as is the capability to work in collaboration with other Regional Leads and internal and external partners.Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage multiple deadlines.Resourceful problem-solver who can troubleshoot issues independently and drive impactful solutions with the ability to manage complex processes.Comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced global environment.Excellent written and spoken communication skills.Ability to consistently demonstrate professional demeanor, as well as absolute confidentiality, discretion and sensitivity in handling private information.Ability to project manage and drive through execution.Comprehensive understanding of various digital tools and platforms, the ability to troubleshoot tech-related issues, and a continuous willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.Must have an innovative and solution-oriented mindset; be curious, think outside in (trends, benchmarks, etc.)Solid understanding of end-to-end HR processes.Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.Fluency in English highly preferred and multilingual (Spanish / Portuguese) a plus.Our Company:Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
