9 Positions - R1-Predoctoral Researchers in biomedicine at FRCB-IDIBAPS

• Academic requirements:
• European Higher Education System: university degree and Master (at least 300 ECTS) or equivalent education to access to a PhD programme in Spain or;
• Non-European Higher Education System: university degree that give access to doctoral studies in the country of issue (certified by the competent body). All the documentation must be delivered both legalised and officially translated in Catalan, Spanish or English (if applies).
• Excellent academic record
• Scientific/technological curricular merits to properly match the selected research project, including previous research experience
• Mobility and/or internationalisation experience recommended but not mandatory
• Strong motivation for research
• Good command of English

• Strong interest in cognitive computational neuroscience
• Strong background in math, physics or computer science (or equivalent)
• Good programming skills (Python)

• Degree in Biology, Medicine, or similar.
• Profiles with experience in Immunology, Cell Biology, or Bioinformatics will be especially considered.

• University degree obtained after 2021
• Strong interest in immunology, human genetics and bioinformatics.

• Bachelor's and Master's degree in Biomedicine or a related field
• Minimum of 6.5 (on a scale of 0-10) in your average score (Bachelor's and Master's degree)

• The candidate should be able to work both in group and independently depending on the specific tasks and projects.
• Previous knowledge on immunology, cell biology and data analysis will be valued. No specific accreditations are required.

• Background in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, biology, medicine, biomedicine or other relevant fields
• Previous research experience, preferentially in human cognitive neuroscience (behavioural testing, electrophysiology, TMS, fMRI…)
• Technical skills: at least beginner level in programming (Matlab, Python, R…)
• Previous professional experiences outside Spain will be valued positively
• Other skills: capacity of organisation and adaptation, teamwork

• Previous experience in cancer research, 3D culture and primary cell culture, generation of cell therapy along with flow cytometry and bioinformatics will be a value.
• Title of animal experimentation will be needed.

• Background in neuroscience, bioinformatics, or related life sciences disciplines
• Hands-on experience in molecular biology (e.g., gene editing, cloning) and working with animal models
• Expertise in transcriptomics analysis (R, Python)
• Enthusiasm, strong organizational abilities, and a collaborative mindset

• Research group: Cortical circuit dynamics, Jaime de la Rocha

• Experience in quantitative data analysis using Python or R (or be very eager to learn).
• Experience performing behavioural experiments, optogenetics or electrophysiology in rodents will also be a plus.
• Having a certificate to work with laboratory animals will also be highly valued.

• Research group: Molecular Pathology of Lymphoid Neoplasms, Elías Campo

• Background in tumor biology and tumor immunology
• Experience in techniques used in cell and molecular biology, such as flow cytometry (FACS), immunofluorescence, ELISA assay
• Experience in next generation sequencing (NGS) protocols and genomic data analysis.
• Knowledge of R language is highly preferred
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic and collaborative person
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to deliver to specific deadlines
• Strong teamwork skills and disposition to work in interdisciplinary teams
