- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting processes.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations for financial performance.
- Implement and maintain financial policies, controls, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic financial plans and assess financial performance to support business objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis, evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and other financial partners, ensuring seamless communication and reporting.
- Oversee cash flow management, investment strategies, and capital allocation to maximize financial performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Professional finance designation (CFA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and accounting standards specific to Spain and the EU.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Fluent in Spanish and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
