  • Claims Management: Manage the end-to-end BU claims process, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of claims across all maritime operations.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement efficient claims handling procedures and workflows to improve operational effectiveness in compliance with the Claims Handling Policy of Maritime Services Cluster.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for internal departments and external parties regarding claims matters.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor claims trends and performance metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Policy Alignment: Ensure claims practices are aligned with internal policies, insurance requirements, and legal obligations.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide guidance and support to colleagues involved in claims-related activities across the cluster.
Strategic Responsibilities:
  • Claims Strategy: Execute the claims handling and conclusion process for the claims within the BU.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify claims-related risks and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies in co-ordination with the BU Management.
  • Business Continuity: Support the BU continuity planning through robust claims preparedness and response protocols.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Represent the claims function in strategic discussions and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement in claims handling and customer service.

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field or at least 4-5 years of prior claims handling experience is required.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in claims management.
  • Proven experience in handling complex claims, working with legal, and insurance stakeholders, and contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of claims handling procedures and insurance frameworks.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally without direct authority.
  • Experience in claims management in the maritime or logistics sector is a plus.
