Job Description:Ready to join one of our Airbus Programs in Spain?
AIRBUS offers an internship (curricular practicum) program aimed at students who are in the last year of their degree with the main objective of acquiring professional skills through the development of a project in the company. What do we offer?: Internship (curricular practicum) program + Bachelor’s Degree Final Project (TFG).Mission: You will prepare a final year training project that will allow you to complete your official studies.About practical training:6 months of curricular practicum at AIRBUS from February to July 2026Part time: 5h / day - 25 hours per week (8h-13h)Tutor assignment for continuous monitoringFinal project (TFG) to be carried out by the student:Title: Phage Change Materials in Aircraft Thermal ManagementObjective:To conduct an in-depth analytical study and survey on the potential use of Phase Change Materials (PCMs) in aircraft thermal management systems, focusing on energy efficiency, weight reduction, and performance enhancement.Scope:The project will focus on the following key areas:Literature Review and Background Research Survey of Existing Aircraft Thermal Management Systems Analytical Modeling and Simulation Comparative Analysis of PCMs Report Writing and PresentationDetailed Project Plan:
  • Literature Review and Background Research
  • Conduct a comprehensive literature review on PCMs, their applications in thermal management, and current trends in aircraft thermal management systems.
  • Identify key parameters and criteria for selecting suitable PCMs for aircraft applications, such as melting point, latent heat, thermal conductivity, and stability.
  • Survey of Existing Aircraft Thermal Management Systems
  • Survey existing aircraft thermal management systems to understand current technologies, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Collect data from industry reports, patents, and academic publications to gain insights into the state-of-the-art in aircraft thermal management.
  • Analytical Modeling and Simulation
  • Develop analytical models to simulate the behavior of PCMs in aircraft thermal management scenarios. This will include mathematical modeling of heat transfer, phase change processes, and thermal storage.
  • Use simulation software to validate the analytical models and predict the performance of PCMs under various operating conditions.
  • Comparative Analysis of PCMs
  • Compare different types of PCMs based on the criteria identified in the literature review and the results from the analytical modeling.
  • Evaluate the potential benefits and challenges of integrating PCMs into aircraft thermal management systems, considering factors such as weight, cost, and reliability.
  • Report Writing and Presentation
  • Compile all findings into a comprehensive report, including literature review, survey results, analytical models, simulation outcomes, and comparative analysis.
  • Prepare a presentation to summarize the project's objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions. Present the findings to academic supervisors and industry
