- Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data modelers.
- Establish and maintain efficient team processes, adapting to the diverse platform and organizational needs of our clients.
- Manage team capacity and task assignments.
- Provide guidance and support to enhance team skills in business analysis, the use of data platforms, their applications and data automation tools (BiGenius), tailored to client needs.
- Conduct recruitment and onboarding of new team members (e.g. modelers) to support our clients teams.
- Data Model Delivery:
- Collaborate with client project managers to define clear deliverables and timelines.
- Balance rapid delivery of client use cases with the creation of long-term, reusable data assets that benefit our clients.
- Manage dependencies between client data domains.
- Liaise with vendors to adapt tools to specific client requirements.
- Ensure the coherence and integrity of our clients’ enterprise data model, and the consistency of their data products and data contracts.
- Data Model Governance:
- Partner with client data domain managers and squad teams to foster organic growth of reusable data assets.
- Collaborate with client governance teams to maintain consistent data terminology.
- Manage and optimize data automation tools and associated best practices for client environments.
- Support client teams in implementing modern data delivery practices (source control, CI/CD, PR).
- Promote best practices for business model using ELM methodology, datavault modeling and encourage the use of agile models.
- Proficiency in data vault modeling and agile modeling techniques. Strong expertise in enterprise data modeling principles and practices.
- Experience with Cloud based data platforms.
- Deep understanding of data governance and metadata management.
- Proficiency in data automation tools and methodologies (experience with BiGenius or similar tools).
- Experience with modern data delivery practices, including source control, CI/CD, and pull requests (PR).
- Proven experience leading and managing data modeling teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Experience working directly with client data domain managers and data governance teams.
- Ability to translate diverse client business requirements into effective data models.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on delivering client solutions.
- Experience with business model development using ELM methodology.
- Experience with data contracts.
- Ability to travel to client sites within Switzerland as required.
