- Support students in designing their Career target, in accordance to their professional strengths and aspirations. Balancing their expectations with market appetite in their target region and industry.
- Support students in individual advising sessions and in groups in the classroom.
- Guide students in our Career Advising methodology: creating their Career target materials (list of target companies and contacts), gather real-time market information (networking with active professionals and leveraging IE ecosystem and alumni).
- Support students in creating an actionable and measurable Job Search strategy, agreeing timelines, milestones and progress.
- Advise/support students to build their personal brand into their application packages (CV, cover letter, LinkedIn profile and interactions).
- Coach students for interviews providing guidance on research about the company/role and practice sessions (mock interviews), at different times in their journey.
- Contribute to define Career Advising methodology and student journey: creation of materials, self-assessment exercises, benchmark market.
- Deep understanding of Pathways or academic concentrations and Sub-pathways (to be acquired in collaboration/coordination with Pathways Directors), to be aligned or be complementary to student´s Career target.
- Through own efforts and collaboration with the Employer Partnership team, maintain knowledge of recruitment practices, industry trends, recruitment and networking events, interview requirements, and unique to the employer information.
- Coordination with Academic Programs and other key stakeholders in the Business School ecosystem, faculty research, alumni base, student clubs, and student needs so as to remain.
Qualifications:To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Master´s Degree.
- Required experience as a coach, career advisor, head-hunter or recruiter. Additional experience facilitating, teaching, learning and development is ideal.
- Candidates must possess strong coaching skills, ideally with specific training.
- Job Market Knowledge: jobs more demanded, future of work, international job market.
- Interpersonal, cross-culture communication skills
- Ability to match transferrable skills with opportunities ("connecting the dots")
- Highly value to have knowledge of different assessments that can help students clarify their career goals (eg. Careerleader, Strenghtfinder)
- Experience in dealing with candidates and recruitment processes
- Experience preparing application packages: CVs, cover letters, LinkedIn profile, interviews
- Ideally, familiarity/affinity with higher education sector
- Bilingual/native level of English and Spanish is required.
- Excellent empathy and creativity to suggest different ideas to students.
- Team player
- Positive customer-oriented attitude.
- Multi-tasking and the ability to work with a sense of urgency under tight deadlines.
- Ability to hit the ground running.
- Additional languages would be a plus.
- Occasional business trips in Spain and/or overseas may be required.
