Band G | Grade 12What you'll doAs a Specialist IoT Solution Architect Pre-Sales Lead, you will work closely with the regional Sales Team and Key Account Management to qualify sales leads and support pre-sale activities. Acting as a technical consultant, you will advise, propose, and design solutions tailored to customer needs and expectations. You will assess the complexity and deliverability of technical solutions within Vodafone's IoT platforms and network capabilities, both globally and regionally.You will lead presentations and workshops on IoT solution designs, highlighting Vodafone's unique differentiators against competitors. Your role will support the entire sales process, from pre-sales and qualification stages through RFP/bid and contract sign-up, to implementation, deployment, and successful acceptance testing and sign-off. You will produce and maintain technical documentation, ensuring it meets customer requirements and business capabilities, and achieve customer technical solution approval. Additionally, you will support customers during deployments, testing, and in-life new feature deployments, managing technical change requests. You will liaise with internal delivery teams and technology partners to drive solution design and testing to completion.This role requires 50% travel within Spain and Europe to meet customers as needed.Who you areWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced IoT Solution Architect who can bring technical expertise and a deep understanding of the business environment to consult enterprise customers on connectivity solutions.
- A BSc or MSc in IT/EE (or equivalent)
- Excellent proficiency in Spanish and English, both oral and written
- Knowledge of cellular 3GPP / LPWAN network architectures and specific aspects for IoT applications
- Understanding of data communication, network, software application, and IT technologies
- Strong customer relationship management skills with the ability to interact comfortably up to Senior level
- A self-starter attitude with a determination to succeed
- Proactive, driven, and can-do attitude
- Strong communication and decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests
- Strong commercial management skills, including contractual and commercial negotiation experience as a technical lead
- Experience in complex change management in a technological context
- Team player with strong influence and relationship management skills
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in a pre-sales role
- Knowledge of the broader IoT market and technology landscape
- Experience in a GSI company or a multinational mobile network operator
- Knowledge of electronic device design, testing, and manufacturing, as well as global supply chain
- International experience with well-developed cultural awareness
- Additional language skills in Italian, Portuguese, or Greek are advantageous
