You will mentor a team of instructional designers, ensure consistency in instructional standards, and align training strategy with productization and go-to-market plans. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of learning at SITA—ensuring our internal teams, partners, and customers receive best-in-class training.In addition to your instructional leadership, you will take on a team-level leadership role, acting as a key point of contact for internal team matters. You will support the coordination of team priorities, foster a collaborative team culture, and contribute to team performance, development, and alignment with broader Portfolio Training goals.You will be accountable for setting the strategic vision for training design and development and delivering cutting-edge eLearning and live training to our audiences.Ready to redefine air travel? Define instructional design direction and frameworks for the Baggage Management Portfolio.
Oversee end-to-end instructional design processes for all training formats (eLearning, ILT, simulations, etc.).
Mentor, coach, and guide other instructional designers across the team to maintain quality and consistency.
Act as a key point of contact for internal team matters, supporting day-to-day coordination, communication, and issue resolution within the training team.
Cover demand for customer trainings delivery and ensure there are no escalation
Partner with senior stakeholders, including product and commercial leads, to align training strategy with business priorities.
Lead design of learning paths and training programs for customer enablement, internal readiness, and partner training.
Introduce and champion emerging tools, methodologies, and technologies (e.g., AI, gamification, simulations).
Represent the training team in RFPs, product launches, and cross-functional planning sessions.
Establish and monitor KPIs to track training effectiveness and continuous improvement.
Ensure all training materials align with learning science best practices and accessibility standards.
Work closely with Solution Specialists teams to support customer engagements and product trainings.
Own the instructional design roadmap for the Baggage Management Portfolio.
QualificationsBACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
Expertise in Information Technology, Airline / Airport passenger ground handling or Air Transport Industry technology.
Knowledge of aviation technologies for baggage processing such as BIMs, Baggage Reconciliation Systems and Baggage Mishandling.
Advanced user knowledge of SITA WorldTracer system.
Proficiency in productivity and documentation tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, Word, etc.
Competence in using instructional design tools and software, e-learning platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and multimedia production software (Articulate Suite, Adobe Cloud, Camtasia, etc.)
Ability to incorporate multimedia elements like graphics, videos, animations, and interactive components into instructional materials.
Flexibility to adapt teaching style to different audiences and adjust the teaching approach based on the needs of the participants.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Swiftly reprioritize tasks as needed to address evolving business needs.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts and resource constraints that may arise during task prioritization and workload management.
Understand various teaching and learning theories, instructional strategies, and adult learning principles to design effective learning experiences.
Familiarity with instructional design models to guide the design process.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with subject matter experts, clients, and stakeholders, as well as to convey complex information clearly to learners.
Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies, learner needs, and project requirements, as well as the ability to revise instructional materials as needed.
Collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with diverse teams, including subject matter experts, instructors, product managers and developers.
