- Lead the Global Medical Affairs Strategy and Tactical plan for strategic products.
- Lead Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (IEGP) for strategic products.
- Interpret key relevant scientific data, identify unmet medical, educational and research needs within the medical community.
- Critically evaluate available information about diseases of interest to the therapeutic area, the competitive landscape and synthesize information succinctly to support brand strategy, clinical development programs and new products acquisitions.
- Scientifically lead and co-lead launch readiness for assets in development within the Therapeutic Area, including any appropriate external action together with regulatory, pharmaco-vigilance, health economics etc. to ensure proper product labelling, reimbursement, and funding.
- Drive the development of impactful scientific and medical education messages and materials through medical expertise, customer insights and understanding of launch strategies.
- Drive medical and scientific communication ensuring a strategic alignment through a close collaboration with SciComs.
- Design, ensure alignment and lead the Global Product Publication Plan of strategic products.
- Develop a training strategy and training content in conjunction with SciTraining.
- Provide medical evaluation and approval for promotional and educational materials.
- Lead the scientific communication engagement strategy.
- Develop external relationship with relevant medical groups, scientific societies, and key stakeholders through a comprehensive engagement plan.
- Corporate Central point of contact for the Medical roles in Affiliates and Partners for strategic products under responsibility to ensure effective collaboration.
- Ensure a close working relationship with all functions in country and corporate including Sales, Marketing, Market access, Patient advocacy, Regulatory and R&D, among others.

- Background: Preferably Degree in Medicine and/or Doctoral Degree in Health Sciences
- Experience: + 5 years of previous experience as Medical Affairs Advisor or Lead. Previous Therapeutic Area experience in Neurology and/or in rare or orphan conditions. Track record of leading cross-business/cross-functional planning. Demonstrated solid peer relationships with and exposure to external scientific/clinical experts, professional & regulatory bodies, pharma associations. Regional or global experience is a plus. Track record of contribution to medical strategies and new launches as a plus.
- Skills (technical): Strong understanding of clinical development and study management, as well as real world evidence generation plans and practices. Familiar with GCP & regulations of promotional materials. Knowledge of clinical trial design, statistics, and pharmaco-kinetics. Familiar with marketing principles and strategies. Medical and scientific writing skills.
