- Lead and coordinate collections efforts across multiple countries by setting clear weekly objectives and ensuring local teams are aligned on priorities and processes.
- Design, maintain, and monitor collections task schedules, adapting to region-specific operational needs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure high-quality, accurate, and clean data is available and easily accessible for local teams to drive timely and effective collections decisions.
- Create and maintain centralized dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs, monitor outstanding balances, and identify bottlenecks in collections activities.
- Establish and nurture strong working relationships with local collections agencies, handling onboarding, performance tracking, and escalations as needed.
- Serve as a central point of contact for cross-functional collaboration between local finance teams, customer service, and external partners.
- Own the accuracy and delivery of final collections figures, ensuring consistency across regions and reporting standards.
- Engage in direct customer contact where needed, including handling sensitive or escalated cases and conducting follow-ups via phone, email, or other communication channels.
- Continuously improve collections processes, incorporating feedback from local teams, industry best practices, and data-driven insights.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of regional collections pipelines to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- 3-5 years proven experience in collections, finance, or account management, preferably in the residential real estate sector.
- Full-working proficiency in English is required, other European language is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations with tact and professionalism.
- Strong MS Excel proficiency and other collections software and CRM systems (Salesforce, Freshdesk, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of tenant rights, eviction processes, and collection regulations.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think creatively to resolve payment issues.
- Customer-focused mindset and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional member experiences.
- Self-accountable and able to work independently without well-worn paths or established protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel locally as needed to coordinate on-site visits.
