We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Editorial to lead and scale our global data editing operations.Reporting directly to the COO, you will set the strategic direction for Simply.TV’s editorial excellence, drive global operational performance, and establish best practices across our teams worldwide. You will be responsible not only for day-to-day delivery but also for building a world-class editorial organization that shapes the future of metadata quality, accuracy, and innovation.This is a senior leadership role that requires a balance of strategic vision, operational rigor, and people leadership. You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and commercial leaders while driving a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation across the editorial function.ResponsibilitiesYou are successful when you:
  • Lead at scale: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global editorial team across multiple geographies.
  • Set the strategy: Define and implement editorial best practices, quality frameworks, and scalable processes that deliver consistent, world-class metadata.
  • Drive operational excellence: Own performance across the editorial pipeline — ensuring accuracy, consistency, efficiency, and on-time delivery to global clients.
  • Align editorial to client needs: Translate customer requirements into editorial standards and workflows that drive client satisfaction and retention.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and commercial teams to enhance tools, workflows, and automation opportunities.
  • Establish thought leadership: Act as the company’s subject matter expert on metadata taxonomy, editorial standards, and content operations.
  • Measure and optimize performance: Define and monitor KPIs, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Build organizational capability: Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development to scale editorial leadership globally.
RequirementsQualificationsYou'll thrive in this role if you show:
  • A university degree in a relevant area, e.g. Business or Data
  • Significant experience (10+ years) in metadata, editorial production, content operations, or data management — ideally in B2B tech, media, or entertainment.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling global teams in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong operational and strategic leadership skills, with the ability to balance long-term roadmaps with day-to-day execution
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • High level of ownership and accountability in a remote-first, fast-paced, international environment.
