- Linux System Administration: Manage and maintain Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- Work to root cause and eliminate infrastructure downtime or performance issues in our production platform.
- Document, measure and report metrics over time such as performance, failures and version info.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring tools and proactively identify and resolve system issues.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Automation: Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management tools.
- Containerization: Create and manage containers for deploying applications and services
- Log Management: Implement centralized logging and analysis for system and application logs.
- Security: Implement and maintain security best practices to protect our systems and data.
- Performance Tuning: Conduct performance analysis and optimization of Linux and Windows systems and applications.
- The ideal candidate will have expert-level skills and background in systems administration and engineering, understanding of the components of a infrastructure including hardware platforms, OS, applications, databases, networks, web and application servers. Prior experience managing large-scale server infrastructure at a computing or MSP setting is highly desirable. Strong Linux expertise is a must.
- Expert-level skills and experience with service troubleshooting in a production environment covering web front-end, Systems, Databases and Networks.
- Consider Infrastructure mainly as code and good expertise with technologies such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Good understanding of computer networks: TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewall, and network virtualization.
- Good Experience with network storage solutions (Ceph, NFS or similar).
- Knowledge with DevOps, CI/CD technologies and transition to agile operations.
- Familiarity with IaaS orchestration technologies for systems and network equipment including such as OpenStack orStack.
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or similar technologies; proficiency preferred
- Experience with monitoring and performance tuning tools, such as Zabbix or Nagios.
- Understanding of ITIL v3 framework and how it applies to incidents, problems and change.
- Candidate must have good Spanish communication skills and work well in a collaborative team environment.
