It develops, manufactures, and distributes integrated solutions—including systems, reagents, automation and software—for use primarily in hospitals and clinical laboratories.Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead the procurement function and team. This role is key in driving supplier performance, optimizing cost-efficiency, and supporting cross-functional collaboration with departments such as R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality.You will develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, drive continuous improvement across the supply base, and lead a team of procurement professionals. You’ll also play a critical role in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation.Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Procurement Leads and Specialists
- Define and implement procurement strategies and KPIs aligned with corporate goals
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and performance metrics
- Negotiate supply and quality agreements in line with business needs
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, including corrective action planning
- Collaborate with R&D and Marketing to support new product development and time-to-market objectives
- Drive savings initiatives and ensure alignment with profit plan and operational targets
- Ensure accurate SAP purchasing parameters and promote process simplification
- Lead departmental planning, performance reviews, and compliance with HR policies
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts and supply disruptions
- Support digital transformation of procurement processes through IT collaboration
- Supplier Quality: Vendor change management, complaint resolution
- Manufacturing: Raw material and packaging performance
- R&D & Marketing: Sourcing support for new assay developments
- Sales & Operations: Benchmarking and vendor evaluations
- IT: Implementation of digital tools to optimize purchasing
- Vendors and suppliers (local and international)
- Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in a business or supply chain-related field
- Preferred: Advanced degree or additional certifications in procurement or supply chain
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, including team leadership and supplier negotiations
- Languages:
- Fluent in Spanish, Catalan, and English (spoken and written)
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Advanced SAP knowledge required
- Experience in Lean environments is a strong asset
