Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) – Madrid / Hybrid

- Azure / Infrastructure / Automation / Hybrid Cloud / DevOps / IaC
- 40h/week with on-call duties after ~2 months (1 week every 5-6 weeks)
- Contract from September 2025 until December 2026
- Operate and support hybrid environments spanning on-prem and Azure
- Design and implement infrastructure using Terraform or Jamml
- Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, Octopus)
- Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI
- Implement and maintain Zero Trust security principles, Azure AD, and RBAC
- Support backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting workflows
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams and 3rd-party suppliers
- Participate in an on-call rota after onboarding (~every 5-6 weeks)
- Strong experience with Azure Infrastructure (VMs, Networking, Storage, VPNs, ExpressRoute)
- Proven background in hybrid cloud operations and DevOps practices
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred), scripting, and automation
- Familiar with Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and identity management
- Knowledge of Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and cloud storage performance tuning
- Excellent communicator – able to work cross-functionally and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently in complex, enterprise-scale environments
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
