Centric Marketing Intelligence™ (formerly StyleSage), is an AI-driven competitive assortmentbenchmarking and market trend insights solution for fashion, beauty, and home goods brandsand retailers.We are a key innovation partner for iconic and emerging brands across the world.Our Platform is able to analyze the info of more than 1.000 retailers, processing data from morethan 600.000 brands, and tracking millions of products!The TeamYou will be part of the Product Engineering Team, and your mission will be to keep developingand improving web applications our clients use, building beautiful, fast, and easy to useinterfaces in the frontend, and fast, scalable, and well structured code in the backend.To do that, you will use the latest and best open-source technologies out there. For the frontendside, Vue.js is our framework and Quasar our Component framework. We have an amazingcomponent library built with the Design Team help that allows us to forget about “one pixel moreto the right” problems, the design always will follow our guide style and we can focus on theJavaScript code.For the backend side, we code in Python using Django as our main framework and Django RestFramework to follow API REST principles. Our data lives in PostgreSQL databases, but you willfind high-performance databases too.All our services use observability tools like Sentry, Grafana, Influxdb, and Telegraf.If you do not know a lot about some of those technologies, worry not, our engineers will behappy to support you while you are on your journey to becoming an expert in them.What You Will DoAs a Senior Software Engineer, your main mission is:
  • Develop the next bunch of features of our Platform following the UX guidelines of our design team.
  • Write clean code and tests following the best practices to maintain our web applications on the front-end and back-end sides.
  • Review software code written by other team members to identify bugs and improve code quality.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the technical team to ensure applications align with the organization’s goals, as well as customer needs
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team/company.
  • Produce and defend proposals for new architectures or to change and improve the current ones
Your Skills
  • 5+ years of experience working as a software engineer.
  • You have a degree in software engineering or related.
  • You have experience building client-server applications
  • You can communicate with other teams to coordinate joint initiatives.
  • You can divide big tasks into smaller pieces and prioritize their execution
Your Tools
  • Javascript and VueJS, as it is our JS framework of choice, but you may also be proficient in another modern JS framework like React, Angular, or Svelte instead and that’s fine, we will help you get up to speed with VueJS (and you’ll love it!).
  • Python and Django
  • SQL and some database administration knowledge, mainly for PostgreSQL.
  • Docker
  • English: half of the company doesn't speak Spanish and your job involves some written and spoken communication with people in other countries and time zones.
