Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role: please only apply if this location is accessible for you.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis across a global, multi-entity IT organisation, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellenceAct as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, driving financial transparency and influencing decision-making across functionsNegotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to optimise cost structures and ensure value deliveryIdentify financial risks and opportunities, proactively recommend mitigation strategies, and follow through to resolutionEducate and guide business partners on financial processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and standard operating proceduresDeliver insightful ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decisions and resource allocationManage the full budgeting and latest forecast cycles for cost centres and service areas, ensuring accuracy and relevanceLead productivity and cost-saving initiatives, including insourcing strategies and location optimisation to maximise efficiencyEnsure adherence to Novartis Accounting Manual and global financial regulations, identifying and implementing process improvementsProvide leadership across complex, cross-functional projects, supporting change management and driving continuous improvement within the finance functionEssential for the role:Master’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related business disciplineMinimum of 8 years’ experience in financial controlling, planning & analysis, and reporting within a global organisationProven ability to lead complex financial projects and drive strategic initiatives across multiple geographiesDemonstrated success in business partnering, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsHigh proficiency in English and ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environmentDesirable for the role:Experience in strategy implementation and business process development within a global IT or pharmaceutical environmentDigitally savvy, with familiarity in Power BI or similar data visualisation tools, and an interest in using AI solutions like Copilot to enhance financial insights and drive productivityCommitment to Diversity & Inclusion:Novartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.Skills Desired Ability To Influence Key Stakeholders, AI Driven, Building Effective Teams, Capital Allocation, Critical Thinking, Data Cleansing / Normalization, Data Visualization, Financial And Management Reporting, Giving And Receiving Feedback, Insight Generation, Interpersonal Savvy, Managing Ambiguity, Market Understanding, Planning & Analysis, Pmi (Post-Merger Integration), Process Optimization, Rapid Problem Solving, Understanding Value Drivers
