- Model and Build EHS Leadership Across the Organization: Provide strong leadership to build and sustain EHS capabilities within the central organization and the EHS network.
- Develop and Implement EHS Programs: This includes creating and maintaining policies, standards, procedures, and programs related to environmental, health, and safety compliance/best practice.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Supports ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations (local, state, federal, and international) and managing environmental, health, and safety risks.
- Risk Assessments and Hazard Analysis: Develops and conducts risk assessments and hazard evaluations.
- Metrics and Analytics: Tracks, reports and trend analyses of EHS metrics to proactively develop EHS programs to continuously improve performance.
- Training and Education: Defines required training for all levels of the organization and collaborates with Learning & Development to deliver high quality training.
- Incident Investigation: Maintains high quality standards for incident investigations and near-miss reporting to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Publish Corporate Safety Alerts as needed.
- Emergency Preparedness: Supports developing and maintaining emergency response plans and procedures.
- Environmental Compliance: Supports site level compliance with environmental permitting, training and recordkeeping.
- Leadership Influencer: Collaborates with Integrated Supply Chain management to embed EHS into business operations.
- EHS Resources Oversees EHS resourcing at the business unit and site level based on the nature and complexity of the operation. Capability building across site level EHS associates, providing on-going coaching and mentoring.
- Budget Management: Managing EHS-related budgets, forecasting, and planning for expenses, capital, and personnel needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Stays current with industry regulations and best practices to ensure continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Significant experience in EHS management, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) are preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for managing EHS programs and interacting with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as analytical, mechanical, and compliance software, is often required.
- Ability to travel globally ~25-30% time
