This opportunity provides a Hybrid work attachment at Madrid office.#LI-HybridThe RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Purchaser & Expeditor to join our Supply Chain department. The candidate should have extensive experience negotiating supply contracts with suppliers, preferably in Power Plants industry, as well as providing ongoing monitoring of supplies from contract award to delivery.Our Clients and ProjectsDesigning the future. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all Purchasing activities of the Contract:
  • Inquiry: Prepare and submit requests for quotations according to the requisitions issued for each equipment, material or service, including the commercial conditions and get competitive prices.
  • Negotiation with suppliers: Commercial negotiation of General Conditions of Purchase and Commercial Requirements. Price negotiation.
  • Commercial evaluation: Preparation of the Commercial evaluation considering different suppliers.
  • Purchase Order submittal: Preparation of the whole PO package and submittal to supplier.
  • Find and analyze specific suppliers for the purchase.
  • Preparation of the Procurement Plan and strategy for the project considering critical equipment.
  • Management of risks related with Purchasing.
  • Monitoring of the Budget for Purchase Orders or subcontractors.
  • Analysis of the origin of the deviation vs budget.
  • Price analysis and evaluation. Benchmarking analysis.
  • Purchase of equipment, materials and services at the best price considering their quality, technical requirements, cost, delivery time and safety.
  • New suppliers' search and evaluation worldwide. International short trips to suppliers' workshops may be required.
  • Active monitoring of supplies, their manufacturing progress and compliance by suppliers with contractual delivery deadlines.
  • Lead regular meetings with suppliers (Usually by video call, with possibility for physical attendance at their workshops).
  • Monitor suppliers' performance.
Qualifications:Expected:
  • Engineering Degree.
  • 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing activities with international suppliers, in engineering and supplier companies are preferred.
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English languages
  • Communication, leading and negotiation skills with suppliers & subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of General Purchase Conditions and clauses of Purchase orders.
  • Knowledge of Risk analysis according to the market situation.
  • Experience in monitoring and expediting supplies in power plant projects. Supply schedule monitoring and decision-making to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
  • Experience with ERP Systems.
  • Holding a valid Spanish work permit.
  • Immediate availability.
Desirable:
  • Experience in JDE (Oracle based ERP).
