- Procurement strategy development & execution: Contribute to project sourcing strategies, ensure alignment with procurement policies, identify stakeholder requirements, and support project execution plans.
- Supply base management: Optimise the supply base through market analysis, supplier evaluation, cost modelling, and continuous performance monitoring. Introduce new suppliers where needed and maintain strong relationships with existing ones.
- Operational procurement: Negotiate and manage contracts, ensure timely delivery of goods and services, follow up on outstanding orders, and resolve supplier issues.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with end users and project teams to translate requirements into sourcing actions, ensuring high quality and cost-effective outcomes.
- Governance & compliance: Uphold purchasing ethics, enforce procurement procedures, and contribute to process improvements.
- Leadership support: Guide buying assistants, coach and motivate local teams, support training initiatives, and help prepare for product launches.
- Relevant experience in operational buying with a strong understanding of advanced procurement methods and techniques.
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience as a Project Buyer.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in analysing data and building cost models (should-cost, total cost of ownership).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
