- Leading the project lifecycle: You'll oversee the system and/or application changes from planning through to successful deployment, making sure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed-upon quality standards.
- Planning and strategy: You'll create and maintain comprehensive project plans, define clear objectives, deliverables, and success criteria, and manage all project constraints.
- Coordination and collaboration: You will coordinate internal resources and external third parties. You will also align with other project managers to ensure deliverables are synchronized across interdependent projects.
- Monitoring and reporting: You'll track project progress, manage dependencies, risks, and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. You will also lead project meetings to keep all stakeholders regularly updated.
- Transition management: You'll manage the process of transitioning environments from development to staging and production.
- Ensuring quality and best practices: You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects adhere to established frameworks and project management best practices, and you will capture lessons learned for future projects.
- Experience: Over 5 years of hands-on experience as an IT Project Manager, with a proven history of successfully managing large-scale IT deployments.
- Certifications: Holds a formal Project Management accreditation (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2), validating their expertise and knowledge.
- Methodologies: Proficient in various project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and PRINCE2.
- Technical Skills: Skilled in using project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
- Leadership and Communication: Demonstrates strong leadership, stakeholder management, and excellent communication skills. They can effectively coordinate teams, communicate with third parties, and facilitate key decisions.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive and decisive individual with a strong ability to solve problems and manage project risks and dependencies.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized and adept at managing time effectively to ensure projects stay on track, on time, and within budget.
- Commitment to Quality: Focused on ensuring projects adhere to established frameworks and best practices, and committed to a process of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned.
