We produced the sensational series Tara Duncan and Miraculous Ladybug season 5, both broadcasted on Disney Channel and Disney +.We are now getting ready for an absolutely new captivating project, the series 'Messi and the Giants', produced by Sony Music Vision, Sony Pictures Television Kids and Leo Messi Management, and broadcasted by Disney. An epic saga where a young boy named Leo is transported from his home in Argentina into a fantastical alternate universe.If you love animation challenges and unexpected adventures, and if you feel you have that special inner magic spark, we want to hear from you!The Layout TA is responsible for providing technical support for the crew for the Project/s with a focus on Layout and Asset teams under the guidance of the supervising technical crew and Production. They effectively support rendering infrastructure and ensure basic support is being provided to the artists. Location: Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). On-site opportunity. Type of contract: Fixed-term contract. Contract duration: from September 2025 to the end of 2026.Key responsibilities:Provide technical support to the Layout team and related departments throughout production.Prepare and maintain layout scenes, ensuring assets are correctly integrated and functioning across shots.Import and interpret previs and client-provided files, adapting them to our pipeline requirements.Ensure asset and prop continuity across sequences and between departments.Liaise with editorial and asset teams to incorporate previs and temp edits into working scenes.Perform basic character rig handling and support for camera layout and blocking.Identify and troubleshoot issues in layout scenes, flagging potential blockers early, and offering technical solutions.Perform technical QC (quality checks) on layout deliveries before they move into animation or lighting.Support the preparation of technical assets such as sweep cameras, layout templates, and test renders.Suggest and document improvements to pipeline tools and workflows where necessary.Collaborate across departments to ensure pipeline compatibility and project efficiency.Complete tasks within established deadlines, following direction from Supervisors and Leads.Maintain organized and well-documented scene files ready for downstream use.Requirements:Solid experience and understanding of Maya in a production-based environment.USD-based pipeline experience.Proven experience working in a Layout TD or Layout TA role within an animation or VFX production.Experience in full-CG TV series or animated features is a plus.Understanding of camera workflows, cinematography principles, and asset tracking in a layout context.Experience working with character rigs and basic animation handling.Comfortable working from storyboards, animatics, and editorial cuts.Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.Familiarity with production tracking tools such as ShotGrid.Excellent communication skills in a collaborative team environment.A passion for animation, storytelling, and visual composition.Experience with layout QC and shot continuity workflows.Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.Attention to detail.Ability to script using Python and/or Mel is a plus. * Ability to work on-site in our beautiful Tenerife studio. - EU/Spanish work permit.What we offer:Opportunity to work in the beautiful Canary Islands, in a dynamic and creative environment.Career growth opportunities and the chance to work on exciting and high-profile animation projects.A supportive and collaborative team culture.
