- To manage New Business submissions of his/her Line of Business and to settle the distribution criteria within the team: territorial/broker/type of risk/product, etc.
- To populate Quotes on the IT System data collection, rating, pricing, uw analysis, wordings, etc.
- To give authority to his/her team
- To issue quotes and follow-up them
- To issue policies and new policies and policy amends that cannot be outsourced to Portfolio Management.
- To monitor, amend and update the new business tariff.
- New Products and/or existing products' new releases or updates
- To monitor the list of non-tacit renewals of issue policies and new policies and policy amends that cannot be outsourced to Portfolio Management and issue a renewal proposal to the broker.
- To issue, update and monitor the portfolio performance strategy, in particular
- To support our Business Developers and/or Head of Market Facing Teams in any sales related initiative they may request too brokers (meetings, presentations, trainings, etc.)
- Develop and grow a knowledgeable producer population, incl. strategic and tactical broker/producer development planning.
- Build strong relationships with brokers (local/region) to ensure the practice meets or exceeds financial goals including growth, profit, retention, and new business
- To read, understand and sign his/her personal authority letter and any other technical guideline provided, in particular the reinsurance treaty, and act within the limits of its scope and to monitor that his/her team does so.
- To work together with Claims Department
- Work collaboratively and effectively with local underwriting, operations, legal and claims.
- To manage his/her own team: objectives, salaries, bonus, career, new hiring, etc.
- Engage in innovation initiatives, product launches, marketing campaigns and short-term projects as appropriate to contribute positively towards success of the overall team and company.
- Stay current with all compliance, procedural, and workflow changes; ensure all activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- A strong background in General Liability and Material Management.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance market in similar positions
- Proved people management's skills & experience
- Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize
- Expertise in the insurance industry and a solid understanding of compliance standards.
- A proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
