Our team, which consists of Product, Engineering, Operations, and Architecture, acts as a cohesive unit to deliver quality, robust, and innovative solutions to enable Host Co. and its customersYour missionAs a Devops Engineer, your mission is to design, implement, and maintain a robust and efficient cloud infrastructure based on the OpenStack platform. This involves ensuring the availability, scalability, security, and performance of our cloud environments. Your responsible for automating deployment processes, optimising resource utilisation, monitoring system health, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless operation of the cloud infrastructure. Additionally, you collaborate with Product and clients to understand business requirements and develop innovative solutions that leverage our cloud technologies effectively.What you'll doDesign, deploy, and manage OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure to support our customers workloadImplement automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and scaling of cloud resources.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of cloud-based applications.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.Implement best practices for cloud security, including access control, data encryption, and vulnerability management.Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and capacity utilisation, and implement optimisations as needed.Stay up-to-date with technologies and industry trends in Cloud computing, DevOps, and OpenStack.Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely manner.What you'll bringBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Proven experience working with OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure in a DevOps or SysOps role.Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting.Experience with orchestration and configuration tools such as Maas, Juju, Ansible and TerraformHands-on experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and development workflows.Knowledge of software development methodologies and practices (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.Certifications such as Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.What's in it for youInspiring and fulfilling work at the innovative, value-driven global company that uses cutting-edge tech.Global work experience in Agile methodology.International, friendly and inclusive multi-cultural environment (over 35 nationalities that speak altogether almost 30 languages!).Attractive salary and flexible benefits package (incl. medical insurance for you and your family, life insurance, free language classes).Playful, accessible office in the Technology Park of Málaga with a free, private bus connection from the city centre and a range of workplace perks.Flexible working hours and ways of working, well-being programs, learning and growth opportunities every day.Relocation package for you and your family including soft-landing package services to help you settle down in Spain (if you are moving from a different city/country).Team building events, Learning Labs, Hackathons, Designatons, and even Referathons!Opportunity to shape the tech community inside and outside of The Workshop, mentoring and sharing knowledge with others.Six weeks' paid leave for every four years of service.Department LocationsMálagaLife at The WorkshopWe're lucky enough to have a home in some of the world's best tech hubs - Málaga, London, Reading and Auckland.
