- Provide effective, business-focused, day-to-day legal advice to all our business teams on a broad range of issues, including EU and regulatory compliance, litigation, consumer rights, e-commerce laws and intellectual property.
- Deliver clear, practical guidance that enables our business partners to achieve their objectives while mitigating legal risk and prioritizing the interests of our community.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues accross EMEA and globally to ensure consistent, aligned legal advice.
- Proactively draft, review and refine internal processes, policies and workflows.
- Instruct and manage outside counsel as needed, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective, business-orientated legal advice.
- Stay up to date on legal and regulatory developments affecting Airbnb's businesses.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required, including occasional travel to the United States.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to establish yourself as a trusted partner to key stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate legal risks and mitigation strategies to both legal and non-legal audiences, considering regulatory and other relevant factors.
- Spanish Degree in Law with a strong academic record and/or demonstrated record of success as a practicing lawyer.
- A minimum of 6+ PQE, with relevant experience in a law firm handling regulatory and/or litigation matters. Experience in an in-house legal department is a plus.
- Qualified to practice in Spain. Additional qualifications in another EU or common law jurisdiction are a strong plus.
- Native Spanish speaker with fluency in English (both written and oral) is essential. Fluency in additional languages (i.e Catalan) is a strong plus.
