.NET Core Developer - EY GDS Spain - HybridThe opportunityBring powerful applications to life using .NET Core and modern Microsoft technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you'll have a chance to extend your knowledge & experience by working on interesting projects with the newest technologies and approaches. You'll support clients in choosing the most suitable business solution and take part in digital transformation.Your key responsibilitiesAs a .NET Core Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable applications using the latest .NET technologies, while collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Develop back-end services and APIs using .NET Core and Entity Framework.
  • Build secure and efficient web services using WCF and/or legacy ASMX technologies.
  • Design and maintain interactive, component-based UIs with Blazor
  • Write efficient database queries and manage data using Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and support.
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing, debugging, and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, testers, and project managers.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to architectural decisions.
Skills and attributes for successTo succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of .NET technologies, a problem-solving mindset, and a drive to deliver clean, maintainable code in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core and the .NET Framework.
  • Proficiency in working with Entity Framework for database operations.
  • Familiarity with WCF and ASMX services for system integration.
  • Experience building user interfaces with Blazor or interest in modern .NET front-end development.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Ability to write clean, modular, and well-documented code following SOLID principles.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in agile development environments.
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Entity Framework, web services (WCF/ASMX), and relational databases.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience in international environments.
