We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-level/Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with a passion for technology to join our team in Madrid. In this role, you will be part of a team of experienced DBAs responsible for ensuring the stability, performance and security of high-performance databases that support critical applications and real-time data processing.Responsibilities include managing, optimizing and safeguarding databases to meet the needs of a dynamic, performance-driven environment.ResponsibilitiesEnsure the high availability, performance and security of databasesOptimize database queries and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costsImplement and maintain database backups and disaster recovery plansMonitor database activity and identify potential issues proactivelyCollaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration of databases with applicationsPerform daily monitoring of database health and performanceAnalyze and optimize database queries to improve response timesTroubleshoot and resolve database issues quickly and efficientlyDocument database procedures and configurationsParticipate in capacity planning and resource allocation for databasesStay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practicesRequirementsMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Database AdministratorExperience with ElasticsearchExpert knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDBStrong scripting skills in Bash and PythonProficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and GrafanaExperience in database performance tuning and optimizationKnowledge of cloud-based database technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plusExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsProficient communication skills in Spanish are required, with basic knowledge of EnglishNice to haveCertifications in database administration or related fieldsExperience with media or entertainment industrySkills in other database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server)Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and toolsExperience working in a high-volume, mission-critical environmentWe offer/Benefits
