User Experience Designer – Team LeadClarivate is seeking an experienced User Experience Team lead to join our growing Design Hub in Barcelona!In this role, you will be leading a team of UX designers and Researchers to provide exceptional user experiences for IP Products.Partnering with product and technology leads on strategic initiatives, you will aid in the alignment of UX efforts to business objectives.You will demonstrate and develop team expertise in user experience disciplines such as user research, visual design, or accessibility.The UX Team Lead will plan, prioritize and coordinate UX work within the segment and serve as a strategic partner to UX Director to help create a user-centric vision and roadmap for the full portfolio.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishmentsBachelor’s or master’s degree in a design-related field such as HCI, Graphic Design, or Interaction Design.8+ or more years of industry experience in interface design, web design, information architecture, usability, visual design, or similar field3+ years of experience in user experience design with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions for complex projects across multiple platforms.Proven experience producing appealing and effective B2B enterprise web-based applications on large projects.Experience leading development projects, including ability to integrate user centered design practices with an agile development approach.Ability to understand and apply analytics and usage data as part of user research.Expertise and established reputation in one or more UX practices (user research & analytics, visual design, interaction design & prototyping)Proficiency in design, research, data analytics and product management tools such as Figma, Lucid Spark, Maze, Pendo.Experience working in Agile development environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies.Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.It would be great if you also had . . .Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.Knowledge of the Silicon Valley Group methodology.Understanding of accessibility standards and validation methods.What will you be doing in this role?Leading the UX team who supports one of PISA’s use cases.Applying known and emerging user centered design methodology to develop an understanding of user needs and expectations.Serving as a strategic partner to business leads, ensuring product concepts are valuable, usable, and feasible, and achieve desired business outcomes.Taking the design process from ideation through full product cycle, helping others on multifunctional teams align to and deliver against a clear user experience vision for the given product.Defining criteria for design success and determines appropriate ways to measure and evaluate design success and usefulness on an on-going basisStaying current with, and appropriately applies, emerging UI trends, knowledge of interactive landscape (both mobile and web-based), competitors, and complimentary products.Managing individual contributors by reviewing employee performance, hiring, overseeing employee day-to-day activities, supporting employee development, and executing on performance correctionMay also help lead a UX practice area (User Research, Visual Design, Interaction Design, etc.) by establishing best practices, processes, and tool sets; coaching others in carrying out practice related tasks on various projects.Product you will be developing.The UX Designer Team Lead will be leading a team of UX designers and Researchers to provide exceptional user experiences across multiple platforms of IP Patent intelligence, search, and analytics products; Derwent Innovation, IncoPat, Innography and Analytics.About the TeamThe UX team in Ip Segment has over 20 people, including UX Designers and Researchers.Hours of WorkThis is a full time, permanent position.You will be working in a hybrid model, from Barcelona Office.At Clarivate, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons with respect to hiring, compensation, promotion, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
