Overview:The Senior Quality Engineer demonstrates a high level of professionalism, prioritizing the quality, reliability, and performance of systems and applications within the Business Technology, Innovation, Development, and Data Analytics department. This role involves leading quality assurance initiatives, mentoring junior team members, and driving continuous improvement of processes. The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies, analyzing complex data, and ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. This role requires a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Essential Functions:
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive test strategies and plans, covering all aspects of software quality, including functionality, performance, security, and usability.
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases, document test results, and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior quality engineers, providing technical expertise and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on quality goals and objectives.
  • Lead root cause analysis of software defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve development processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and methodologies by researching and implementing industry best practices and new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation for all quality assurance activities.
  • Proactively identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members on quality-related matters.
  • Improve Bunge's outcomes by making data-driven decisions, keeping the customer at the forefront of all they do, and proactively gaining insight into the global strategy.
  • Collaborate, effectively communicate with others and take initiative to continually develop themselves.
  • Pursue opportunities to solve problems and take action while maintaining the ability to manage work, even in times of challenge or change.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 6-10 years of experience in software quality assurance. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Expertise in various software testing techniques (functional, performance, security, usability).
  • Proficient in using test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
