We deliver IT services and solutions for the different international Business Units from Nationale Nederlanden GroupOur objective is to create, deliver and maintain insurance product management solutions, as service propositions to enable any agent (linked or direct), machine or company to create and sell insurance products in Europe in an automated way and real time.We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our team.What is the purpose/mission of the position?The QA Engineer role plays an important part in our company’s product development process, responsibilities include:Designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions, review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts)Conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.Providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems.Monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.To develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.What are the tasks that you’ll perform?Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackCreate detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test casesEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesDesign, develop and execute automation scripts using standard NN toolsIdentify, record, document thoroughly and track bugsPerform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedDevelop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needsLiaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirementsMonitor debugging process resultsInvestigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutionsTrack quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect countsStay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategiesWho you are?Work experience in insurance & banking sector in software quality assurance.Strong communication skills in English ( both speaking & writing )Familiar with both GUI/API testing focussing on front end web portal test systems & back-end systems.Hands on experience in development and maintenance of automation frameworks using functional testing tools like UFT, PlayWright, Cypress, BrowserStackUnderstanding TypeScript/JavaScript/Phython including its features, syntax, and best practices.Familiar with API testing tools ( Postman, Bruno ) and REST/SOAP API concepts.Familiar with SQL queries required for DDBB level testing.Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processesExperience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test casesExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development processExperience with performance and/or security testing is a plusWhat do we offer?As part of our Employee Experience, we offer you a range of competitive benefits that are available to you in order to improve the physical, mental, and professional wellbeing of our workers.
