Company DescriptionDue to our energy consulting business growth, we are looking for great people to join our team of energy technical analyst/consultants in Madrid office in coordination with other renewable energy AFRY teams globally.The work will encompass a wide variety of projects including technical due diligence of solar, wind, hydro, biomethane, hydrogen assets over the world for a range of clients such as banks, funds, private equity investors. Experience and motivation to work on market and regulatory analysis in Spain, Portugal and Latam countries as well as market due diligence on renewable projects will also be valuable.You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience to become an industry specialist within a stimulating and supportive environment.   • A Master's degree is desirable, or higher, in engineering or science related subject.
  • Working experience of 1-2 years specialized in renewables (solar, wind, hydro, biomethane, hydrogen) with previous experience of working in a consulting environment, preferably in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Having performed roles such as technical advisor/developer/owner´s engineer of renewables assets (solar and wind).
  • Having lead the delivery of technical due diligence of mainly solar and wind assets (design review, energy yield estimations, site assessments, electrical review, contracts review, environmental review, economic review, etc.).
  • Expert knowledge of typical tools used to perform energy yield assessments of solar and wind (PVSyst and WasP).
  • Good knowledge of renewable energy market, in Spain and Portugal and other key geographies and up-to-date knowledge of developments and trends in energy sectors.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills. We undertake a lot of complex analysis, a good proportion of which is numerical, so we are looking for people with an aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis. This includes the ability to pay attention to detail and use MS Excel proficiently.
  • Excellent team working and social skills. Virtually all the work we do requires team working so if you have good communication skills and the ability to work well with others within a project team and wider office environment you will fit in well. This involves organisation discipline, flexibility, and respecting commitments.
  • Being fluent in Spanish and English. On the one hand our clients are located in Spanish and non-Spanish speaking countries, and on the other hand our work requires day-to-day collaboration - in English - with other AFRY offices.
  • Writing and communication skills. Report-writing and presenting in public is a core part of our work, therefore we are also looking for the ability to explain complex information in a clear and logical way in English, both in writing and orally.
  • Proactivity and responsibility. You will be working in a commercial environment against budgets and deadlines so you will need to be able to think for yourself, be proactive and have a business-oriented mindset.
