Do you want to join us?Retail & Commercial Division aims to transform the business by defining and implementing the global strategy and ambition for R&C business across all geographies according to the principles outlined in the operating model.This will include the definition of the key strategic objectives and the instruments for achieving them, with a focus on:Product and customer experience simplification and standardization across countries.Process automation and organization delayering and simplification.Common technology platform deployment, with global T&O outflow management.This will be carried out through coordination with the countries, aligned with the strategy and priorities of the global business.It is a crucial transformational role with accountability of running the end-to-end retail & commercial product area and its strategic, transformation and customer experience accountabilities. This role will predominantly be responsible for developing and delivering ambitious transformation plans for customer engagement and digital products horizon. We embrace a strong risk culture and all of our professionals at all levels are expected to take a proactive and responsible approach toward risk management.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGAs global product director, you will have accountability for defining and executing projects for transforming the retail & commercial business, together with the local teams, T&O and other global teams.The key deliverables of the role include:
  • Leading the product transformation. Navigating several workstreams, third parties and stakeholders, including the oversight of key dependent workstreams.
  • Leading the global new products team with the different stakeholders involved: T&O, Customer Experience, Process, Legal & Compliance.
  • Prioritizing work for Agile teams, interpreting evidence and ensuring that their teams can follow a clear roadmap of prioritized activities across the product development lifecycle.
  • Build the market product roadmap and prioritize the request of new products/ programs.
  • Managing an execution plan in collaboration with country stakeholders, Product Owners and local and global squads: Scope/impact of product (Able to set the vision, roadmap and backlog for a product in a way that has a measurable impact on Santander’s strategic objectives), and Risk/strategic business criticality of product (manage and mitigate risks as they relate to the delivery, usability, viability and performance).
  • Leading a hypothesis-driven design methodology to enable rapid experimentation and customer empathy throughout the ideation and development stage of the products.
  • Anticipate and assess regulatory potential changes that can impact our strategy or delivery roadmap or that can be translated into business opportunities.
  • Measuring impact (to business and customer metrics) and proposing initiatives based on learnings from analytics and customer feedback.
  • Facilitating best practice sharing and adoption amongst countries through organizing sharing sessions and workshops
What we are looking for:
  • Experienced professional (7-15 years of experience) with a passion for customers, transformation and product design / delivery
  • Creative and data-driven problem solver, proactive in overcoming challenges and engaging diverse stakeholders
  • Role model in customer-led strategy and product development
  • Results orientation, demonstrates and measures impact
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing “design for excellence” principles
  • Self-starter, with strong team collaboration
  • Ability to work across the organization to align resources to the projects
  • Ability to learn, retain, communicate technical product information
  • Ability to create, manage and sustain influential business relationships
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
