- Develop and execute medical affairs plans in alignment with the business objectives.
- Strategic medical lead building and maintaining relationships with scientific thought leaders globally.
- Manages international scientific events like advisory boards, symposia or standalone meetings
- Manages initiatives and requests related to Grifols research programs such as ISRs, awards, grants and Ph IV studies.
- Responsible for knowledge management in his/her respective area, acting as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, writing summaries when needed.
- Collects and analyzes from a strategic point of view competitor medical/scientific information from different sources/departments and communicates to the appropriate internal functions and departments.
- Attends national and international medical conferences on the respective disease areas and provides reports from these meetings to internal stakeholders.
- Provides medical content for medical education programs for clinicians externally and for internal costumers through training department.
- Contributes to scientific publications generated from Grifols projects or studies (including abstract writing or revision of manuscripts)
- Provides scientific responses to enquiries by internal and external customers and supports Medical Information department on the elaboration of SRL.
- Responsible for the accuracy of the medical content of marketing materials. Medical function in the sign off process of promotional materials.
- Collaborates with cross functional teams within the SIO and Commercial Department, participating in different working groups as needed.
- Provides medical input in the development of value dossiers or other materials requested for reimbursement/market access support
- Attends periodic team meetings on TA updates and strategy alignment
- Manage budget and ensure compliance with Grifols processes and regulations.
- Mentor Medical affairs manager as needed
- University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Biotechnology; MD, PhD or PharmD with advanced knowledge in the respective scientific field is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the pharma industry preferable
- Solid knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical basics with highest ethical standards.
- Scientific understanding (literature, clinical and basic research etc.)
- Advanced communication and relation building skills

- Good English language skills (spoken and written)

- Willingness to travel (EU and international)
