Researcher in powder atomization and additive manufacturing

- You will manage the atomiser pilot plant and you will coordinate the different stakeholders working on the pilot.
- You will develop steel powders to be used in additive manufacturing and their production process through atomization.
- You will investigate the key parameters and their impact on the atomization process and the powders properties.
- You will characterize and assess the final properties of the produced powder in terms of particle size distribution, flowability, aspect ratio, moisture content, chemical composition, density…
- You will maintain a continuous technology watch on powder production processes, powder quality assessment, wire production, printing and characterization techniques and standards.
- You will collaborate with in-house digital teams to develop additive manufacturing models.
- You have a Master degree or a PhD in metallurgy or material science.
- You have a first experience additive manufacturing materials production routes and/or atomization process. Experience in the production of steel powders through atomization would be a nice asset.
- You have knowledge in Additive Manufacturing processes and materials (powder and wire format), in steel metallurgy, powder metallurgy and end-use properties assessment such as flowability of powder, spreadability, density,….
- You have experience in design of experiments and samples characterization.
- Experience in coordinating different stakeholders and subcontractors would be a plus.
- You have advanced levels in English and Spanish.
