We are seeking an experienced and passionate piano teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano instruction, particularly with preparing students for ABRSM exams. You will teach students aged 4-16, adapting lessons to meet their individual needs and abilities.Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality piano lessons for students of different ages and abilities.
- Prepare students for ABRSM practical and theory exams, ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Create individualised lesson plans tailored to each student's strengths and areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Take part in school events, recitals, and performances to showcase student achievements.
- Stay up to date with modern teaching methods and ABRSM curriculum developments.Required Qualifications
- University degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Strong piano performance skills and solid knowledge of music theory.
- At least 2 years of experience preparing students for ABRSM exams with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Patience, adaptability, and an understanding of different learning styles.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Music, Music Education, or equivalent ABRSM certification.
- Experience teaching in a classroom or music school environment.
