Around 7,000 employees work on exciting and challenging tasks, contribute their ideas and solutions and put them into practice.Integrated in Axpo Group Treasury, the Senior Treasury Back Office Specialist will support in the maintenance and implementation of Treasury systems and in daily Treasury operations. This role requires a hands-on attitude with a solid expertise in Treasury and Accounting principles and systems like SAP and Treasury Management Systems.What you will do:SAP & Treasury Management System:
  • Assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Treasury Management System (Kyriba).
  • Monitor interfaces and data flow between the ERP (SAP), TMS (Kyriba), and payment platforms.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial transactions data in both the ERP and TMS.
  • Act as first-line support for system incidents, user queries, and process exceptions.
  • Oversee and optimize SAP and TMS usage within treasury back-office operations, ensuring data integrity and system accuracy.
  • Develop and implement procedures to streamline SAP and TMS processes and ensure that system utilization aligns with industry’s best practices.
Access to TMS:
  • Manage user access requests for all Treasury systems, ensuring timely setup, modification, and deactivation of user accounts.
  • Assign roles and permissions based on user needs and in compliance with internal policies.
  • Conduct regular audits of user access rights within Treasury systems to ensure compliance with internal policies.
Treasury Transaction Processing & Settlements:
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of treasury transactions, including FX and derivatives transactions.
  • Oversee the confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation of treasury deals, adhering to internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Resolve discrepancies in transaction settlements and liaise with counterparties to address and reconcile issues promptly.
What you bring & who you are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury operations, accounting, or a similar role, with a focus on back-office processes.
  • Ability to work independently without close physical proximity to other team members.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP (minimum of 3 years of experience) and experience with TMS (Kyriba preferably).
  • Solid knowledge of treasury operations, accounting principles, and transaction processing.
  • Fluent in English. German or other European languages are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

We offer flexible working hours to accommodate your work schedule. 60% on remote and 40% at our offices in Madrid, Torre Europa.
