- Perform service and commissioning of electrical generators and auxiliaries worldwide, following specifications and engineering documents, including functional tests, logic interlock verification, and comprehensive reporting.
- Conduct fact-finding activities and electrical tests on generator components during service outages, ensuring accurate diagnostics and timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot and analyze customer issues, collaborate with Engineering to implement effective remedial measures, and deliver high-quality technical support.
- Prepare, complete, and document a wide range of electrical tests on generator windings, stator core, and rotor, such as dielectric standstill diagnostics, high voltage tests (AC/DC), voltage drop tests, and resistance measurements.
- Compile detailed records to document equipment condition, assure quality, and provide all required documentation and reports in accordance with company procedures.
- Experience with AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) systems and generator protection schemes is a strong advantage.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, with hands-on experience in AC generators and a strong understanding of technical equipment and documentation.
- Eagerness to expand your expertise in generator design, electrical insulation technologies, and power plant operations, enabling detailed analysis and diagnosis.
- Proven analytical skills, a proactive approach to technology and innovation, and the ability to solve problems independently in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Collaborative teammate with resilience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with international teams and adapt to diverse cultures.
- Willingness to travel internationally on short notice (up to 100%) and work flexible hours, demonstrating a high degree of mobility and adaptability.
- Excellent command of technical English (German is a plus), with a strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
