A central element will be the transition of our current SAP R/3 ERP into S/4 HANA which aims to reduce complexity, get closer to Standard and thereby, build the foundation for digitalization at scale.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • As Workstream Lead “Data Migration & Cutover Management” of project Mercury, form & steer the IT rollout functions Data Migration & Cutover Management during pilot and rollout.
  • Drive data cleansing activities (including the development of a data cleansing concept & timeline) in strong collaboration with key stakeholders from IT, Operating Divisions and Service Units.
  • Closely manage project objectives, scope, cost and resources as a member of the Mercury IT Project Management team in close collaboration with the global rollout workstream of project Mercury.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies in strong collaboration with the selected System Integrator (SI).
  • Actively prepare project decisions, ensuring that project goals are met and that required decisions are taken.
  • Contribute strongly to the SI Performance Management & Reporting.
  • Collaborate with NGBA Program Management and different stakeholders across several GD Product Families, Service Units, Corporate Centers and Operating Divisions.
  • Finally, you explore new technologies (e.g. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI.) to further improve efficiency for our team and enable faster and broader usage of GenAI related opportunities in NGBA projects.

You will work in a global and interdisciplinary project team across Global Digital Services and other BASF Units. You will be part of one of the most ambitious IT projects ever in the ERP environment.REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Information Technology
  • 5+ years of experience as an SAP project lead/manager with ERP background, and proven track record in medium/large projects
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and manage cross functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Strong communication skills in English and assertiveness
  • People centric and empathic leadership style that embraces modern ways of working and agility
  • At least basic knowledge and experience in modern system architecture
