YOUR TASKS:
  • Support on the continuous development and improvement of the toolchain and methodologies regarding load calculations within the scope of wind and site resource assessment as well as site-specific suitability assessment.
  • Actively searching for applicable solutions in a short-term and cost-effective way
  • Performing related load calculations for class or site-specific conditions as well as concept studies for novel solutions development
  • Optimizing controller functions as well as supporting in the different components design in a multidisciplinary team
  • Planning and execution of load assessment tasks within research projects but also sales or service-sales purposes, i.e. site-specific load calculations for assessing wind conditions by using advanced aero-elastic dynamic simulation software and/or approximation tools.
  • Supporting development projects by adding real site-specific load assessment expertise ensuring to achieve the most optimized and effective project results.
  • Documentation of results and their assessment in technical reports.
  • Supporting during the certification or claims related tasks
  • Support of project work according to Nordex project management system.
  • Planning and execution of root cause analysis for any issue regarding methodologies, tool performance and even supporting field issues when required.
YOUR PROFILE:
  • M. Sc. Of equivalent in Mechanical engineering/physics or similar with specialization dynamics and simulation or renewable energy.
  • Knowledge of recognized standards such as IEC 61400-1. Professional experience with aerodynamic simulation tools as e.g. Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, Flex5. Good knowledge of dynamic simulations of complex systems in an industrial application as well as for fatigue analysis methodologies, focused on methodology developments, analysis of complex phenomena, etc. Additional skills in usage and development tools are preferable.
  • Very good team player, very good interpersonal skills, strong communicator and proactive person to encourage team spirit and achievement environment. Dynamism and flexibility in shifting daily work. Strong understanding of technical challenges and scope of projects paired with strong analytical skills and creativity
  • Strong communication skills as well as a systematic, careful and reliable way of working.
  • Comfortable to work and interact frequently with relevant stakeholders across all Nordex business areas, mainly global Engineering in Spain, Germany and India.
  • Creativity and desire to work in a multi-national environment, flexibility and team spirit as well as a good sense of humor.
  • Good interpersonal skills to properly manage corporate relations with entities such certification bodies, research institutes, engineering consultants and others.
  • Languages: English, high level. Ideally skills in German.
  • Experience: 5 years in similar roles/functions.
  • Availability to travel.
