  • Senior Technical Sales Specialist Cloud & IT (driving customer engagements and revenue growth)
  • Senior Product Lead Cloud & IT (defining GTM offering strategy and execution)
This role will provide technical pre-sales expertise, leading solution architecture design, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical demonstrations. The position will focus on hybrid multi-cloud, infrastructure, modern work, digital and modern innovation, security, data and AI, integrating Marlink’s IoT, networking, communication, and cybersecurity GTM offerings.Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Architecture:
Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for Marlink’s Cloud & IT GTM offerings.Design and present cloud, hybrid IT, and edge computing solutions, integrating AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud.Work with customers to understand their business challenges, defining tailored cloud and IT architectures that align with operational needs.Create and deliver high-impact technical presentations, demos, and POCs, showcasing the value of Marlink’s Cloud & IT GTM offerings.Develop reference architectures, solution designs, and technical best practices for well architected frameworks and cloud adoption frameworks.
  • Collaboration with Sales & Product Management:
Support the Senior Technical Sales Specialist Cloud & IT by providing technical expertise during the sales cycle.Work alongside the Senior Product Lead Cloud & IT to define and refine cloud solution offerings, pricing models, and managed services frameworks.Ensure that the technical solution aligns with GTM strategy, industry compliance requirements, and customer business objectives.Assist in bid responses, RFPs, and technical proposals, ensuring competitive differentiation
  • Industry Specific Cloud & IT Solutioning and Services:
Leverage expertise in managed services to design and deliver solutions that optimize operational efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) for customers.Develop hybrid multicloud and IT solutions tailored to industry specific challenges in:▪Maritime & Shipping: Fleet IT modernization, maritime cybersecurity, cloud-based vessel management.▪Energy & Mining: Remote asset monitoring, hybrid cloud deployments, edge computing for offshore sites.▪Government & Humanitarian Aid: Secure, resilient cloud solutions for mission critical applications.▪Yachting: Secure onboard IT infrastructures, hybrid cloud for VIP digital workspaces.Align technical solutions with regulatory and IT security frameworks (IMO, SOLAS, IEC 62443, NIST, ISO27k, GDPR, EU Cybersecurity Act).
  • Hybrid Multi-Cloud & Edge Computing Expertise:
Architect solutions using AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring hybrid and multi-cloud interoperability.Provide technical guidance on DevOps, Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud native architectures.Optimize edge computing architectures, ensuring seamless integration with IoT, networking, applications, connectivity and cybersecurity solutions.Design Zero Trust security architectures to protect remote IT and OT environments.
  • Customer Advisory & Proof-of-Concept Development:
Conduct deep-dive technical workshops, helping customers define cloud migration roadmaps and security strategies.Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs), demonstrating the feasibility and performance of Marlink’s Cloud & IT GTM offerings (solutions and services).Provide technical advisory services to customers, ensuring optimal cloud adoption, security, and compliance.
  • Sales Enablement & Partner Collaboration:
Train sales teams, partners, and customers on Marlink’s Cloud & IT GTM offerings, hybrid multicloud strategy, and IT security best practices.Collaborate with AWS, Microsoft, Google, and technology vendors to align Marlink’s cloud and IT GTM offerings with industry standards.Assist in developing technical playbooks, battle cards, and competitive positioning materials for the sales team
  • Strategic Alignment:
Ensure all activities align with Marlink’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.Contribute to the company’s goals of driving digital transformation, sustainability, and operational excellence in target industries.Work closely with BUs to gain market specific knowledge and input.Technical & Sales Expertise:10+ years in technical pre sales, solution architecture, or cloud consulting.Expertise in Hybrid Multi Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Edge Computing.Strong knowledge of Cloud & IT Modern Applications (DevOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines, API integration, microservices).Experience in cloud security, Zero Trust architectures, and regulatory compliance frameworks.Familiarity with IT OT convergence, camera surveillance and edge AI deployments.Preferred Skills:Industry Knowledge:Understanding of cloud adoption challenges in maritime, energy, mining, shipping and government.Knowledge of compliance and security regulations relevant to shipping, oil & gas, and mission critical industries.•Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).Business & GTM Skills:Proven ability to translate technical capabilities into business value propositions.Strong technical writing skills for RFPs, white papers, and solution proposals.Ability to engage with Clevel executives, IT managers, and technical stakeholders.Soft Skills & Leadership:Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.Strong collaboration skills, working with sales, product management, engineering, and partners.Self driven, adaptable, and strategic thinker, with a customer-first mindset.Preferred Certifications & Qualifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect ProfessionalMicrosoft Azure Solutions Architect ExpertGoogle Cloud Professional Architect (nice to have)TOGAF, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent IT security certificationsWhy Join Marlink/OmniAccess:
