- Supervise the month-end accounting close for Ford Credit Spain's ledger and financial statements (Income Statement and Balance Sheet), coordinating team tasks to ensure timely completion within monthly and quarterly deadlines.
- Lead the preparation of the Ford Credit Spain annual report, including in-depth analytical review and providing comprehensive explanatory support for external audit inquiries.
- Conduct thorough Balance Sheet and Income Statement variance analysis, preparing clear and concise presentations for senior management.
- Oversee the review and submission of quarterly returns, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Prepare accurate accounting tax entries.
- Coordinate with Tax Advisors to review and ensure the timely and accurate submission of direct and indirect tax returns.
- Critically review and oversee Bank of Spain Statutory Reporting, providing expert support for queries raised by the regulator.
- Manage the review of CIRBE Bank of Spain Reporting, addressing and supporting any inquiries from the regulator.
- Proven strong accounting background, with specific expertise in financial services and Bank of Spain reporting disclosures.
- In-depth knowledge of income tax, deferred tax, VAT, withholding tax, and tax accounting principles.
- Demonstrable experience with Bank of Spain Regulatory and CIRBE Reporting.
- A proactive self-starter with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of delivering clear, concise, and impactful explanations to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and prioritization abilities, with a strong track record of meeting strict deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail combined with robust analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Solid understanding and practical application of both IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards.
- Actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Prior supervisory experience within a finance or accounting function.
