
Global IS M&A Lead – Due Diligence, Integration & Separation

Preferred locations for this role are Spain or MexicoYou will be mainly accountable for:
- Conduct IT/IS due diligence for M&A deals, assessing risks, ERP, infrastructure, applications, and integration/separation feasibility
- Oversee execution of IS-related activities in acquisitions, divestitures, and transitional services, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality parameters.
- Provide methodology, oversight, and guidance to core IS teams and external partners across the M&A lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across Corporate Functions, Shared Services, and Business stakeholders.
- Advise and consult on all phases of the M&A lifecycle—from early-stage scouting, due diligence, integration/separation planning, deal closing, to TSA execution.
- Coordinate and align executive stakeholders across Business Areas, M&A Teams, and IS Domains.
- Manage dependencies and resolve conflicts between ABB departments and functional areas.
- Ensure strategic projects and change leadership are delivered in accordance with ABB and IS strategy.
- Build an efficient, cross-cultural IS M&A team environment focused on continuous improvement.
- All IS M&A Team members possess the ability to lead, manage and work across strategic programs and all IS M&A phases
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of M&A experience.
- 12+ years of experience in a global IT/IS organization.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing programs and projects within culturally diverse teams.
- Advanced skills in strategy, analysis, negotiation, and execution.
- Solid knowledge of project delivery methodologies and frameworks.
- High sensitivity to confidentiality in M&A activities.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
- ITIL V3 Foundation Certification preferred
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMI/PMP) preferred
