
Railway Junior Engineer (Geometric Design)

- Independently preparing design calculations or reports related to linear infrastructures (i.e. geometric design).
- Support the design of railway projects (Freight, Metro, LRT, HSR, etc.) on a variety of tasks that goes from the geometric design, selection of switches and crossings, design of construction yards, track structure, etc. but also coordination with other disciplines (drainage, bridges, etc.).
- Works collaboratively on international projects to support AECOM's Home Offices.
- Works on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to linear infrastructures.
- Performs daily work under experienced or more senior engineer's supervision
- Can set standards and procedures for CAD works, but also template for 3D modelling.
- Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others and participates in quality control reviews of documentation originated by equally or less experienced staff.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience working on railway designs (+3 years).
- Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e AASTHO; AREMA; Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.) will be considered favorably.
- Intermediate level in geometrical design at least one of the following software packages: Bentley OpenRail, Power Rail Track and/or Autodesk Civil 3D
- Advanced level in CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
- Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.
- Communicative level of English (oral and written).
