Offering a broad range of Port Services, Commercial Liner Services, Ship Services, and Specialized Services, Noatum Maritime Services supports clients by connecting the dots through their value chain from load port to discharge port.Our clients include Cargo Owners, Traders, Miners, Oil Majors, Ship Owners, Ship Operators, and Ship Managers, handling a wide array of goods and vessel types such as containers, dry bulk, breakbulk, project cargo, crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and passengers.Noatum Maritime Services differentiates itself through specific domain knowledge, local relationships, understanding of local nuances and risks, and the ability to leverage the assets and scope of services within their broader ecosystem to provide value-added solutions to clients.The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing procurement activities related to general and administrative (G&A) categories across the organization, including but not limited to Fleet, HR Services, Marketing, Travel, IT services and Software, Consulting and Professional Services and Facility Management.This position will report to the Global Contract Manager of Noatum Maritime Services and will play a critical part in optimizing spend, ensuring supplier compliance, and delivering value to internal stakeholders through structured sourcing processes, strategic negotiations, and ongoing performance management of suppliers. The role supports the Procurement function in achieving its cost, compliance and efficiency goals.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities:
  • Lead the procurement process (Source to Contract) from need identification to contract signature, including running RFIs/RFQs, evaluating bids, negotiating terms and drafting agreements.
  • Manage and execute sourcing strategies for G&A spend categories: market analysis, benchmarking and supplier identification.
  • Ensure that contracts are accurately approved, recorded, accessible and renewed on time. Coordinate with legal for contract reviews and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, approval workflows and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate supplier master data and procurement records in ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and SLAs. Support corrective actions and ensure service continuity.
Strategic Responsibilities:
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal stakeholders (Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Legal, etc.) to understand business needs, align procurement goals, and ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing levers such as bundling, renegotiation, and demand management.
  • Strategic Supplier Management: Evaluate and manage key supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and long-term value.
  • Sustainability & Risk Management (if applicable): Incorporate ESG and risk mitigation criteria into sourcing decisions to support corporate sustainability and resilience objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Up to 3/4 years of relevant experience in indirect procurement within a multinational or multi-site organization.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement processes, spend analysis, supplier sourcing, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement platforms (Ariba, Coupa, etc.) is desirable.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional collaboration, influence business stakeholders, while having a global mindset.
