Visit to learn how our innovative team is helping connect, protect and power our planet.As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining the product portfolio and creating the roadmap for our UWB business. This role involves analyzing top-level system architecture, defining feature sets for next-generation ICs, and conducting competitive analysis. You will also drive early lookahead activities, perform proof of concept validations, and optimize system partitioning. Additionally, you will communicate with customers and internal teams to understand market requirements and trends, work in interdisciplinary and cross-site project teams, author technical publications, and provide training to field teams and customers.This position is a hybrid position that can be located in Barcelona Spain or Munich Germany.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the Product Portfolio definition and roadmap creation for UWB business.
  • Analysis of top level system architecture of Automotive UWB solutions: passive keyless systems, radar, etc..
  • Responsible to define the feature set of next generation IC including specification definition of key parameters and perform system estimations for this application in cooperation with the engineering team.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and internal positioning of roadmap devices
  • Think ahead on future needs and drive early lookahead activities -Process, Package, IP, MCU/Edge Computing, Test and Architecture
  • Perform Proof of Concept validation in cooperation with internal team of partners.
  • Evaluation of lowest Bill-of-Material for our customers by leveraging technical integration versus simplified functionality.
  • Overall System partitioning to optimize the different components for the key factors, like cost, power consumption and performance.
  • Communicate with customers, field application engineers and design team to understand market requirements, technical automotive needs, trends and more.
  • Work in an interdisciplinary and cross-site project team in a global organization
  • Author articles for publication in trade magazines and journals, application notes and whitepapers.
  • Provide technical training to field team and customers.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience (or an advanced degree and equivalent amount of experience) in system architecture analysis, feature set definition, product requirement definition or competitive analysis
  • Experience with wireless SoC
  • Experience working on products that will go into the automotive field
  • Experience managing and coordinating complex projects involving multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Experience in authoring technical publications, application notes, and whitepapers
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to approximately 20 percent of the time domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • SoC design and Software engineering background
  • Experience with UWB technology
  • Experience in passive keyless entry systems
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management systems to better understand customer interactions and requirements
  • Proven ability to provide technical training to field teams and customers
